Dets formål er at skabe et konkret og dokumenteret kendskab til det astrologiske fagområde, dets historiske baggrund og dets samfundsmæssige betydning. Museet er selvejende og organiseret som en forening med bestyrelse og en daglig stab af medarbejdere. Formålet søges realiseret ved blandt andet at opbygge museets samlinger og at at åbne dem for offentligheden. Videre stilles museets viden til rådighed gennem en bemandet spørgetjeneste, denne hjemmeside samt udgivelse af publikationer. Museet driver ikke forskning som sådan (primær videnproduktion), men har et omfattende forskningsarkiv, der kan danne baggrund herfor. Sophie og Cornelius Marts 2003 Samtidig udgives første nummer af Cornelius, det eneste nordiske tidsskrift for astrologisk dokumentation og forskning. Det er opkaldt efter Cornelius Agrippa, 1500-tallets brobygger mellem astrologi og videnskab.

The museum opens for the public again The museum is part of The House of Astrology (AstrologiHuset) and moved i October 2002 to its new, bright quarters at the rim of central Copenhagen (Norrebro). Se adress etc. to the left. Museum of Astrology in Copenhagen is the first museum of its kind in the world. The purpose of the museum is to create a concrete and documented knowledge of astrology, its historical background and its significance in our society. The museum is selfowned and organized as an association with a board and a staff. The objectives is sought realised through the building of collections in the museum. Furthermore by proliferating the gathered knowledge by mainly a manned information service, this homepage and publishing activity. The museum does not research as such (primary production of knowledge) but has a comprehensive research archive that may form a basis hereof.
